VCA Editions + Damp Proof Membrane Press

Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) Press is an imprint that comes out of Drawing & Printmaking (DPM) at Victorian College of Arts (VCA) in conjunction with the development of a new Drawing and Printmaking curriculum designed by Alex Martinis Roe, Dane Mitchell, Lisa Waup, Lauren Burrow and Rosie Isaac with input from Tony Garifalakis and Briony Galligan. The curriculum is underpinned by an understanding of the powerful role of art practices in shaping cultural values and understanding art practices as forms of knowledge and action that can contribute to addressing the multiple issues that face societies, and the way contemporary art is produced, discussed, and circulates,

Resulting from the project 'Bound Volumes: Bookbinding – Multiples– Dissemination', students will present their own publications alongside VCA Editions by international guest artist Gladys Kalichini, Ugo Untoro and Alfi Amaldi. Editions by Damiano Bertoli, Tony Garifalakis, Richard Lewer, Zilverster, Tony Curran, Yhonnie Scarce, Mark Dustin, John Warwicker and Jon Cattapan will also be presented and available for purchase.
