Suzanne Phoenix

Suzanne Phoenix has self-published over a dozen photobooks and zines over the past decade. Suzanne’s publications have been acquired by the National Library of Australia, State Library Victoria, National Portrait Gallery and Australian Queer Archives.

Suzanne’s self-publications include a number of collaborative photographic series documenting several communities including the Upper Yarra Valley in Melbourne and artists of Victoria during lockdown. Also Suzanne’s annual International Women's Day project sees an annual publication. These artworks all include photographs of the subjects and their personal written responses. Suzanne has also collaborated with other artists such as Wuthipol Uj to create zines with double exposure photographers.
