Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (MPRG)

Mornington, Bunurong Country

As the largest public gallery in the South-East region of Melbourne, and occupying a space in-between an urban/regional divide, MPRG offers a unique contribution and perspective to arts publishing practices within Melbourne and more broadly.

Since 2020, MPRG has repositioned design and ideas to the forefront of our publishing, promotional and program activities. Working with design firms Alter and Hours After and collaborating with artist Beci Orpin, we have produced two new Collection publications, a Children's activity booklet, and undertaken a substantial rebrand with print and digital outcomes to shape the Gallery's future trajectory.

In 2022 we developed a unique print edition to support the professional development of leading local artists, working with Negative Press. In 2023 we launched a new Gallery zine, 'prisms', giving behind-the-scenes views of our work and projects, and offering an ongoing space for written and design experimentation.
