To help celebrate the launch of the G: Zines vending machine, and the Melbourne Art Book Fair, the G: Zines Collective are holding a free zinemaking workshop for teenagers and adults at the Dome.

Materials (including deselected resources from the library) and zinemaking equipment will be supplied, along with specialist zinester knowledge from the presenters, with examples of their own zines on display.

Pop in to discover what zines are and how readily and easily they can be made, letting people express themselves however they wish.

Presented by The G: Zines Collective
The G: Zines Collective is a group of three Geelong based zinesters (Amanda Firenze, Glen Smith and Nick Lawson) working together to set up a Geelong zine space.

Amanda Firenze Facilitator

Amanda is an artist, writer and zinester, living and working on Wadawurrung Country in Portarlington. Her main passion is social justice and she has been making zines for a couple of years.

Nick is an artist, writer and zinester, living and working on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong. Nick is a grass roots activist, constantly found doing whatever he can to make our community a better, safer, more inclusive place.
