Morris & Company Press
Sally Nansen is an illustrator, writer, and book creator. Morris & Company Press is her imprint for a series of small run art books that employ a blend of design, illustration, and literature. Stylistic influences for her book creations come from 1930s-1950s poetry chapbooks, early ephemeral illustrated children’s publications, and European modernist design. Sally uses a variety of techniques in her book designs, including linocut, pen and ink, and digital rendering. Sally’s narrative works are concerned with social, ecological, and craft histories. She frequently explores the child within humanity as a bearer of restoration.
Morris & Company Press will be on the Melbourne Art Book Fair Showcase Stand on Sun 20 Mar 8:30am (as part of the Relaxed Morning) – 1:00pm.
