Fast Fashun magazine was launched at the Melbourne Art Book Fair in 2019. Since then we have created two in-print editions and an online blog. The magazine was born out of an ongoing interactive and educational art project that uses fashion as a means for social change. Fast Fashun events have been presented as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival’s Arts Program in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Fast Fashun magazine is independently published and would best be described as a DIY zine meets art book. It documents fashion, art, DIY culture, trends, and climate action.
Tenfingerz (aka Teneille Clerke) is the creative director and editor of Fast Fashun. She has a background in fashion, visual art and performance. She is currently studying professional writing and editing at RMIT. Famous Artist Sebastian Berto is the graphic designer and illustrator of the magazine. They have a background in animation, graphic design, illustration, publishing and web design. Contributors to the magazine include writers, photographers and artists from diverse backgrounds presenting topics not often represented in mainstream fashion media.
Fast Fashun will be on the Melbourne Art Book Fair Showcase Stand on Fri 18 Mar 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
