Tart Magazine is a volunteer, women-led, two-person publishing team who, within three years of publishing, have produced three issues featuring predominantly Australian artists, photographers, poets, writers and chefs in its pages.
Produced and printed fully in Naarm, they always commission a local artist to produce an original cover artwork for each issue. Having found a dedicated readership within Australia and around the world, as well as a close network of local collaborators, Tart aim to tell stories about food outside of mainstream, hospitality-focused food media, with a focus instead on cultural, historical, artistic, and environmental perspectives.
