Resatio

Adelaide/Kaurna Yarta, Australia

Resatio is an Indonesian-born artist and designer who moved to Australia in 2017 and now works and wanders around Adelaide/Kaurna Yarta. Since 2013, he has been self-publishing experimental art zines, including Chamber of Enigma, Cabinets of Curiosities (a collection of visual oddities), Your Nightmare (an exquisite corpse zine), Visual Thief (printed on transparent acrylic sheets), and Monstrum (on tracing paper). His work thrives on absurdity, chaos, and playful material experiments, while living between cultures adds unexpected layers of humor and strangeness. Back in Indonesia, he co-created PAGGGES with Nathania Gabrielle and Mufti Priyanka (RIP), a tiny exhibition celebrating art books and zines by artists and designers friends.

He has shown his zines at Festival of the Photocopier (Melbourne) and Other Worlds Zine Fair (Sydney), and exhibited internationally at Selasar Soenaryo Art Space, National Design Centre Singapore, Superchief Gallery, and Theatre of Digital Art Dubai. Through his zines and projects, Resatio keeps exploring the in-between, inviting viewers to get lost, laugh, and scratch their heads, offering playful, thought-provoking experiences for audiences of independent publishing and contemporary art alike.
