Ornate Gesture

Ornate Gesture is the small-press practice of Australian-based designer Ed Hubber. The imprint self-publishes zines and books that explore big ideas in small ways and take a cheeky look at design culture. Ornate Gesture also share publications from emerging makers through Ornate Other – where they are building a community of care through small-press.

Recent publications have explored the rental crisis through monopoly, giddiness of friendship through vintage cake images, and the recycling of symbols in visual culture by documenting a large collection of lobster artefacts.
