A magazine about old video game magazines…

That was the elevator pitch when I started Forgotten Worlds during COVID locks downs a few years back.

But that's not entirely true... For me, this has always been a more abstract journey. A story about the intersection of art, media and technology. How these three elements all came together in the 90s to produce the modern world. And how the video game magazines that emerged at the time inadvertently captured all this.

In the last few years I've published several zines exploring this theme, maintained the associated website, written articles for ACMI and National Communications Museum, and founded the online zine directory to showcase other work in this field.
