Established in 2020, Debris Magazine is a literary print magazine founded in Melbourne, on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation.
Debris refers to remains: leftovers, scattered pieces, detritus, refuse. As such, the magazine adopts ‘debris’ as a name to reflect the stories and voices that are not traditionally heard in so-called ‘Australia’ with a mission to nurture and support the development of excellent writing.
Typically 120-145 pages, each issue centres around a theme and features fiction, creative nonfiction, artist conversations, poetry, reviews and a photo essay.
