Our shops have long been at the centre of the local literary scene, both as meeting places and via our exciting calendar of events. As a cornerstone of the Australian literary landscape, Readings takes seriously its role in growing and sustaining local industries. 10% of our annual profits go towards The Readings Foundation.

Join Christine Gordon, Readings Programming Manager as she discusses the art of art books with Readings own Art Book Buyer, Margaret Snowdon.

Publishing art books is a particular type of madness surely: and purchasing beautifully illustrated hard back art books is not for the faint hearted. Do only art lovers buy these books? Have art books changed? Do art books increase in value? How do you look after books that feature art, artists and collectors.

Find out, and become involved in a discussion about what’s on our shelves and walls and why.
