Join artist, author, and animal enthusiast Tai Snaith as she shares the nocturnal world of her latest book, Wonders Under the Moon (Published by Thames & Hudson Australia). From Party Animals to Nimble Night-time Ninjas, Tai’s playful and beautifully illustrated field guide categorises over 200 creatures of the night in unexpected ways.
In conversation with writer and creative activist Marieke Hardy, Tai will share her love of nocturnal beings, the creative process behind her work, and how art and storytelling can highlight and help the urgent plight of wildlife conservation.

Tai Snaith
Tai Snaith is an Australian artist, author, and broadcaster whose multifaceted practice encompasses painting, ceramics, writing, and large public realm commissions. A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Tai has exhibited widely since 2002 and has been awarded residencies including the Australia Council's Tokyo studio and Bundanon Trust. She has published seven picture books with Thames & Hudson and hosts a regular visual arts review on Triple R FM. Her work often explores storytelling, personal narratives, environmental activism and the intersection of art and community.
Marieke Hardy
Marieke Hardy is an Australian writer, broadcaster, producer, and artist. She has written for television (Laid, Heartbreak High, Seven Types of Ambiguity), published books and essays (You'll Be Sorry When I'm Dead), and co-founded Women of Letters, a literary salon celebrating the art of letter writing. A former Artistic Director of the Melbourne Writers Festival, Marieke is known for her sharp storytelling, creative activism, and commitment to the arts.
