What does it take to create a lasting magazine? Hear from two major publications – unProjects (AU) and Pilot (UK), as they gather for a panel discussion on the survival of independent magazines in an increasingly digital age.

Audrey Merton is an emerging curator based in Naarm/Melbourne. She works at RMIT Galleries and Collections, is the Marketing Coordinator for BLINDSIDE Gallery and Executive Producer of the radio program Art Smitten, SYN 90.7FM.

Pilot is a digest dedicated to all things creative, experimental, and authentic. With each issue, they dive into their experimental nature by playing with unique formats and physical construction. From a duo-binded trifold issue, to an issue that doubled as a gameboard, Pilot is all about pushing themselves and their readers.

With a focus on artists, writers and independent practice, un Projects publishes essays, artists’ work and reviews, in print and online. Their flagship publication is un Magazine which was founded in 2004 by Melbourne artist Lily Hibberd.
