The art manifesto has long been a tool for artists and designers to challenge, disrupt, and redefine creative paradigms. Rooted in radical thought and aesthetic rebellion, manifestos frame new movements, critique cultural norms, and carve out space for emerging ideas.
In How to Manifest(o), artistic duo N0 R3PLY invite visitors to engage with the tradition of manifesto making by crafting their own statements of intent. Using provided print and binding materials, participants can define their own artistic values using excerpts from famous manifestos and visual ephemera drawn from the NGV collection.
Seated within the gallery space, this activation turns passive viewing into active engagement, encouraging participants to think critically about the creative landscape they inhabit or to simply experiment with language and form. Whether bold, poetic, or absurd, every manifesto contributes to a larger conversation on art and design.
All ages and abilities welcome.
