Aotearoa New Zealand has a fiercely independent art publishing scene that is diverse in form, grounded in collaboration, and driven by a sharp sense of place and politics.
This year’s Stallholder Fair brings together a cross-section of publishers, artists, designers and thinkers who are reimagining what publishing can be. From major public galleries to small-scale independent imprints, these publishers represent a rich continuum of print culture. Their work spans photography, typography, artist books, design theory, and critical writing – often blurring the lines between disciplines.
