Indie Pubs

This exhibition, curated and designed by Master of Communication Design students at Nightingale Brunswick East (and lead by Dr Fayen D’Evie), explores the role of independent publishers and publications in supporting creative communities of practice in Melbourne. Students will research and interpret the history of independent publications in Melbourne, and curate a series of talks by contemporary practitioners about opportunities and challenges of independent publishing. This exhibition foregrounds the RMIT Design Archives Journal issue on independent publications, which will be published in June 2025.
